The Lost Discipline
Privacy
The short version: we collect your email address if you give it to us, we use it to send you the practice, and we do not sell or share it. Here is the long version.
Effective date: July 3, 2026 · Last updated: July 3, 2026
The Lost Discipline ("we", "us") operates thelostdiscipline.com and the email courses sent from it.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you sign up for the free 7-day course. That is the only thing the form asks for.
- How you arrived: the link you clicked may carry campaign tags (UTM parameters) that tell us which video or platform sent you. These are stored with your signup.
- Email engagement: our email service provider records opens, clicks, and unsubscribes so the sequence works and so we can see what is useful.
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising trackers. We do not collect names, payment details, or browsing history.
What we do with it
- Send you the 7-day course you asked for, and afterward an occasional low-frequency letter (roughly one per week at most).
- Understand, in aggregate, which videos and platforms bring people here.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers below, who process it on our behalf.
Service providers
- Email delivery: our email service provider (Kit) stores your address and sends the course. Their privacy policy applies to their processing.
- Purchases: the practices are sold through Gumroad. Payment happens entirely on Gumroad; we never see your card details. Gumroad's privacy policy governs checkout.
- Hosting: this site is served as static files by our hosting provider, which may log IP addresses for security, as virtually all web hosts do.
Retention
We keep your email address while you are subscribed. Unsubscribe at any time using the link in the footer of every email, and the sequence stops immediately. If you want your address deleted from the list entirely, ask, and we will do it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, we honor these on request: access to what we hold about you (it is your email address and your signup tags), correction, deletion, and export. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; EU and UK residents under the GDPR, where our basis for processing is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date above. We will not quietly weaken it.
